• For Suzhou Old Town, I recommend staying near Pingjiang Road. The biggest advantage is having the old streets right outside your hotel. Crowds become especially noticeable during the day and on public holidays. Buildings in the Old Town also face space limitations. This area best suits travelers who value historic atmosphere and want to explore major attractions on foot.
• The area around Suzhou Railway Station sits just outside Suzhou Old Town. It has access to Suzhou Metro Line 4, making it easy to reach attractions in the historic center.
