Fuzhou is strategically located on the eastern coast of Fujian province, facing Taiwan across the Taiwan Strait. It is bordered by Ningde to the north, Quanzhou to the south, and Nanping to the west. This positioning makes Fuzhou a crucial gateway to southeastern China.
