The Conservatory Complex

The Conservatory Complex is one of the most iconic and central features of the South China Botanical Garden. Designed specifically to showcase rare tropical and subtropical plants, the entire complex is built with modern ecological architecture and is divided into themed sections, including the Tropical Rainforest Hall, the Succulent and Desert Plant Pavilion, the Fern Pavilion, and the Rare Plant House. Each section uses temperature and humidity control systems to replicate the plants’ natural environments, offering visitors the sensation of stepping through different global ecosystems. Here, you’ll find fascinating species from the Amazon, Africa, and Southeast Asia, such as giant water lilies, carnivorous plants, and dragon blood trees. In addition, interactive displays highlight the relationship between plants and human life. Whether you’re a family visitor or a plant enthusiast, the Conservatory Complex offers an experience worth savoring.
