Cherry Blossom Viewing

Pingba Farm is home to nearly 700,000 prized cherry trees, offering a wide variety of species. The main types are early-blooming and late-blooming cherries.

  • Early-blooming cherries: Mostly single-petal white varieties, like Somei Yoshino. Their flowers bloom before the leaves, usually around mid-March, creating a pure, snowy white effect.
  • Late-blooming cherries: Mostly double-petal red varieties, such as Kanzan cherry trees. They bloom later, usually in early April, with dense, vibrant red flowers that follow the early blooms.

This mix of early and late blooms extends the viewing season and creates a stunning gradient of colors, making spring visits truly spectacular.
